Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager
Carden Company, Inc. is looking for an experienced Project Manager for Commercial and Industrial Construction Projects for the Nashville area.
The Project Manager has project and field management responsibilities with expertise in planning, design, and construction of commercial and industrial projects from inception to completion. We prefer at least 2 to 5 years of experience as a Project Manager and/or an Assistant Project Manager in the Construction Industry. This position will work under the direction of the Senior Project Management team.
Responsibilities:
- Create and control the scope of the work and remain at or under budget consistently.
- Manage subcontractors, employees, vendors, and all project-related personnel.
- Demonstrate decisiveness and ability to work well under pressure, particularly when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
- Work within established and accepted standards of the construction profession and with the laws and regulations which govern its practice.
- Demonstrate, maintain, and implement knowledge of appropriate safety regulations, procedures, and guidelines and enforce adherence.
Skills:
- Strong computer proficiency.
- Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills in interactions with co-workers, vendors, and clients, as well as in the reporting and documentation process.
- Outstanding leadership skills and ability to establish a good working relationship with many different people, including owners, other managers, designers, supervisors, and craft workers.
- Maintain an understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.
Education:
- Prefer bachelor’s degree in construction related field.
